Today I am talking to Siah who is your PURE Young Miss UK. I find out what she has been getting up to with her title, and her plans did Internationals.
Would you like to introduce yourself? Hi everyone. I’m Siah Bajinka and I’m your PURE Young Miss UK.
How did your pageant journey begin? So I started off with pageants one night when I was watching Toddlers and Tiaras with my mum. I’ve also been one to get my picture took, so for my birthday my mum entered me in a pageant in Wigan and I’ve just loved it ever since.
How long have you been competing for? I’ve been competing for almost 7 years now.
What have pageants taught you? Pageants have taught me to just help the less fortunate and do everything I can to help out with charities and they’ve also given me a confidence boost.
You got crowned in January, so what have you been up to as a queen? Since I was crowned in January I have been helping out in The Gambia, doing lots of charity work and I’ve started a collection to donate stuff to give to The Gambia.
Who is your pageant inspiration? Everyone in pageantry is very inspirational but one of the people I really look up to is Ruby Hill. She does a lot of charity work.
Do you have a platform or is there a certain charity that you fundraise for? My main platform is donating and giving money to the children in Gambia to help them with their education.
What has been your favourite appearance so far? I’ve loved every single appearance, I don’t have a specific one.
What is your favourite round to compete in? My favourite round is fashion wear because you get to have a lot of fun on the stage.
And finally, do you have any advice for somebody that wants to start competing in pageants but is a bit scared? My advice is just go for it, have fun and just enjoy it.
